Come hither, come hither, come hither is an exhibition of new works by two local, emerging female artists, Rebecca Hardaker and Emily Lazerwitz. Working with different mediums both artists have created bodies of work which explore themes of female spaces and the home. Hardaker draws upon surrealist narratives using motifs from within her own home. She explores the intersection of painting and drawing through the use of colour and pastels. Lazerwitz references American quilting and African textiles by making tapestries through traditions rug making techniques. Lazerwitz explores colour and design in a playful and rhythmic way in these new works, which differ from much of practice which is more methodical and planned.
