Have fun experimenting with mixing colours and trying new combinations in paint while learning how to simplify and extract the essentials to create an abstract or semi-abstract painting.
About
The class will begin with mixing colours using acrylic paint to find new combinations and a colour scheme you like. This will then be applied to a painting you will do based on either a single or a group of objects, or a postcard of a scene of some kind. Alison will take you through some simple steps from drawing the object or scene to creating an abstract version which can be as expressive as you would like!
At the end of the workshop you will take away your own abstract painting on canvas and any preparatory work you have made throughout the day.
This class is suitable for beginners and those wishing to work in a more abstract way; age 16+ (under 18s should attend with an adult). Max group size: 12.
