About
Our May 2013 exhibition in Upstairs in The Foundry is works by John Hounam.The tradition of the life class in which students worked from the unclothed figure fell famously into neglect in the 1960s as art moved from technique to concept. These paintings are about observation, technique, and continual practice as a means of visual expression.
