To mark the end of the exhibition, Evy Jokhova has invited dancer and choreographer Flora Wellesley Wesley to perform.
About
For her exhibition at Lily Brooke gallery, Evy Jokhova has created an installation informed by the past, reacting to the present. Anecdotes are imbued into objects whilst activated by visitors.
We will also be launching a limited edition print on the evening to commemorate the exhibition.
Flora Wellesley Wesley collaborates with a variety of choreographers, visual artists and directors as a performer and researcher on projects for camera, stage, and gallery and site-specific spaces, alongside making her own work. She also co-directs Nora, a dancer-led company, with dancers Eleanor Sikorski and Stephanie McMann. They curate and perform together, inviting choreographers to make work for them to perform. Her latest solo project, The Weather Inside, comprises performances, photographs and writing delving into the subject of mood and seasonality. Flora is an active member of Equity and advocates for good practice and workers' rights in the dance field.
