Clay Sculpture from Life

This is a four day life sculpture course where you will be making a minimum of two sculptures direct from the model. You will learn various techniques in clay sculpture including methods of construction and the making of plaster molds. Suitable for beginners and experienced sculptors who want the chance to work direct from life. All tools and materials provided. People often ask me, how do you get started? There are many possibilities. If you want to know how to make sculpture suitable for firing, or for casting, this is the course for you. It will provide an introduction to how to sculpt from life on a small scale, how to make plaster moulds, and how to cast from them. Its good to have a way to make editions without all the cost of complicated molds and all the smell of resin!
