Chris will be showcasing a selection of his pop culture portraits, cinema-and-TV inspired artwork, and animal drawings.
About
Chris’ pencil drawings explore a range of different themes. In every piece not only his skill is apparent and the detailed technique recognisable, but also his ability to reimagine the subject.
Portraits are Chris’ favourite experiment, and the result is undoubtedly successful in his series of pop culture portraits. There is a tinge of melancholy and devotion for these artists who were and remain inspirational to many.
The cinema-and-TV drawings create and recreate dark and dramatic scenes that will take any self-proclaimed aficionado back to the screen. They reflect a deep understanding of the script, beautifully synthesised in pencil and paper.
Chris’ more recent work is a playground of real and surreal scenarios of animals helping each other. It’s an abundance of colour, humour, and indulgence.
★★★
Chris is an illustrator working and living in London. The drawings will be exhibited at Manifesto all through December.
