About
A lunchtime talk at Scarborough Art Gallery will look at the fascinating folklore of the Hebrides. Academics Dr Domhnall Uilleam Stiùbhart and Guinevere Barlow will illustrate their lecture with examples from the collection of pioneering folklorist Alexander Carmichael, and compare his work with that of Scarborough folklorist William James Clarke, who inspired the current exhibition at the Gallery, Fears, Foes and Faeries (until 30 September).The talk will take place at Scarborough Art Gallery on Friday 14 September at 12.30pm. Entrance is at standard Gallery prices of £2.00, concessions £1.80, or free with an annual Open Return ticket, which costs £9.00 and gives free entry into both the Gallery and the Rotunda; places are limited, so advance booking is recommended: 01723 374753.
