Party and opening of the exhibition of Yoshua Okon ‘Future Shock’ at Chalton Gallery and the group show ‘Night Out’
Dear friends join us this Wednesday for the opening of the exhibition of Yoshua Okon ‘Future Shock’ at Chalton Gallery and the group show ‘Night Out’ followed by a party in the pub.
Hannah Bays, Victoria Adam, Francesca Blomfield , Rian Coughlan, Melissa Kime, Jack Killick and Antonia Showering are showing new works at the new project space above the Cock Tavern.
There is also a lot of Public Art: Henry Coleman presents a site specific work using the front shops of 98, 94 and 92 of Chalton Street. Finn Thomson is presenting new sculptures conceived for Chaltont. Alice Harley is also displaying work on the street. Melissa, Ziggy Grudzinskas, Gabriella Boyd and Joel Wyllie are creating work for the front and the back of Off-licence and Max Prus who has been working really hard on this programme is displaying 2 large scale paintings on the facade of the Cock’s building.
We are serving Tequila Cocktails, Brothers Cider and Mexican food. Keep energy for the music by guest selectors and DJs.
The exhibition of Yoshua Okón is the most ambitious exhibition of a Mexican artist at Chalton so so we are really pleased to invite you to this show curated by Giulia Colletti.
Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday from 6 pm.
