An exhibition of over 30 works on canvas by Welsh artist Ceri Pritchard.

About

Being brought up by artist parents and enjoying a changing and varied life have given Ceri Pritchard a unique vantage point. Although he spent many years living and working in France, the United States, and Mexico, Ceri has retained strong ties – both physical and emotional – with Wales.

Of his work Ceri says:

‘The iconography of my paintings – derived from the domestic mundane – responds to the absurdities of modern life. Unresolved tensions and a sense of bewilderment, dislocation and unease are central to my work. The paradoxical nature of painting, a process that can involve hours of solitary work to represent a singular instant of lived experience, provides me with opportunities to address deep-seated traumas and recover hidden memories.’

With an exhibition introduction by Harry Heuser.

Wednesdays and Fridays, 10am-4pm, and Saturdays, 10am-1pm, by appointment.
