AboutA one day workshop to get the feel for letters, ink, paper and the tools.
We will explore the construction of letters, mark making with an emphasis on rhythm and texture helping to create emotion and expression on paper.
To develop these skills takes time, effort and dedication. This workshop will hopefully show
you the potential of calligraphy both as a graphic and painterly tool.
It is hoped to follow this workshop with 6 more workshops to further explore the potential of calligraphy.
The workshop will be held by Satwinder Sehmi, a London based calligrapher who has an international reputation. He works both in the graphic and painterly aspects of calligraphy.
