Celebrating Stonewall's uprising 50th anniversary

EAS – Socially Engaged Art Salon is launching an international competition for a poster design that celebrates the Stonewall uprising 50th anniversary.

The 12 best works will be printed by SEAS and will be exhibited as part of Riot! Celebrating Stonewell’s Anniversary exhibition which is part of Brighton & Hove Pride, UK

The competition winner will also receive a free one week artist’s residency at SEAS at the heart of Brighton + free use of SEAS’s studio and a free solo exhibition in 2020. The exhibition is open to  visual artists, photographers, illustrators, graphic designers, and any creatives aged 18+, from the UK and abroad.

The work needs to be suitable for printing as A1 size (594 x 841 mm).

The theme of the work can explore the historical event, the important role of trans and persons of colour in this event; it’s everlasting significance to LGBTQI communities, the current struggles of LGBTQI communities around the world, and more.
