About

This summer The Royal British Society of Sculptors will host an exhibition of works created by the 2008 winners of The Brian Mercer Charitable Trust Residencies. Two talented sculptors were selected from the RBS membership to spend 3 months developing their skills with the support and guidance of world renowned artisans in Pietrasanta, Tuscany. The selection panel were seeking to identify two sculptors who could seize the opportunity to learn, experiment and extend their boundaries. Samantha Donnelly ARBS was awarded the Brian Mercer Bronze Residency at Fonderia Artistica Mariani and Eugen Petri ARBS was awarded the Brian Mercer Stone Residency at Fondazione Sem. This exhibition celebrates their discoveries and will be launched with talks by both artists on 29 July from 6.30pm.
