Internationally renowned contemporary artist Blaise Drummond will exhibit at Sims Reed Gallery, The Economist Building, 30 Bury Street, London SW1, from 20 April – 1 May 2015.
About
The exhibition will include around thirty unique works on paper and prints by the artist with prices ranging from £360 - £5,500.
Though he currently resides in rural Ireland, Drummond was born in Liverpool and has spent much time between the city and countryside, an aspect reflected in the aesthetic of his work. The juxtaposition of natural forms with architectural lines is, he claims, “...an attempt to grasp at some half remembered vision of balance in the world.”
To coincide with the exhibition at Sims Reed, works of art will also be shown in the Louis Vuitton Bond Street bookshop for the launch of their latest travel book, which will be illustrated by Drummond. The book offers a new and contemporary vision of travel, both real and virtual. Intended as works of art in themselves, they depict each destination through the eyes of an artist in around 100 exclusive drawings. Drummond will also choose a selection of books that have inspired him to create a ‘Curated Shelf’ in the bookstore, all of which will be for sale.
Following the launch at Louis Vuitton, the book will be on display in Sims Reed Gallery during Blaise Drummond’s exhibition.
