About

Berlin-based artist Beate Gütschow was artist in residence at ArtSway in the New Forest during Autumn 2007, during which time she created two new video works, which recreate two landscape paintings by Dutch master of landscape, Jacob van Ruisdael. At this gallery talk Gütschow will discuss how she has managed to recreate a utopian and allegorical scene that never existed, by using a montage of videos taken in the New Forest.
