Bass Superstructure an installation created continues the artist Caleb Madden's current pre-occupation with noise and its perception and categorisation by the viewer/listener.
About
In this elegant and playful sculptural sound installation the artist asks us to question the boundaries (if any) between noise and music, bringing together elemental materials with ‘readymade’ cultural objects to create a sculptural piece that, through the use of sound and movement, has an immediate, pre-rational effect. Following on from this initial relationship the work also allows for deeper considerations concerning culture and societal structures.
