AboutThe exhibition is comprised of a series of typographic abstract compositions, designed using a restricted colour palette of black, white and red. The original work was designed as part of an academic study on the formal qualities and the personality of selected typefaces across the history of typography.
The selection of work celebrates both the aesthetic power of letterforms and their fine structural details, inviting the audience to reflect on the expressiveness of type as image and to focus on the fascinating peculiarity of what Robert Bringhurst defines as âmicroscopic works of art', namely individual letters. Through visual means, the exhibition aims at sparking and fostering a visual and intellectual interest in typography, while acting as an informed display to be appreciated by the expert eye as a praise of details that embody the history and the craft of typography.
Please join us on Thursday 11th September from 6pm to 9pm for the exhibition opening and to meet the designer.
