ASPIRE Year 2 — Call for Artist Participants at 2 levels Variable days between 12 October 2010 - 31 March 2011 (Freelance contracts) Year 2 of the exciting project funded by the Arts Council will be starting this October at King's Lynn Arts Centre. The partners in the project include King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, Freebridge Community Housing, Investing in Communities (EEDA), Norfolk County Council and Socius East. Led by International Artist, Richard Layzell, ASPIRE is an experimental ‘community' of learning and professional development through the arts involving 6 Apprentices (Arts), 3 Local Artists, 2 Eastern Region artists sharing ideas with local communities and the public throughout West Norfolk. Eastern Region Artists (2 opportunities of 16 days each) £3,200 overall fee 16 days contact time in King's Lynn between 12 October 2010 — 31 March 2011 ”¢ Are you a mid career artist living and working in the Eastern Region ”¢ Are you keen to join a ‘community' of artists to explore and develop new ways of working? ”¢ Are you willing to share your skills and ideas to enrich others? ”¢ Is your practice socially engaged/multi-media/experimental? Local Artists (3 opportunities of 24 days each) £2,400 overall fee 24 days contact time in King's Lynn between 12 October 2010 — 31 March 2011 ”¢ Are you an artist living and working in or around the West Norfolk area ”¢ Are you keen to experiment and develop your own practice within a ‘community' of artists? ”¢ Are you keen to work collaboratively with artists, communities and young people?
