To coincide with PRINT, an exhibition which brings together two exciting new shows by regional artists and print makers, Master Printmaker, Lee Turner will be giving an informal discussion at Mushroom Works gallery with a sneak peek inside his studio.Lee runs Hole Editions, an independent printing and publishing organisation, producing hand printed original lithographs. Over the past three years, Lee has collaborated with a large number of national and international artists, including Jonathan Lasker, Julia Jacquette, Ruth Root, Ellen Birkenblit, Larry Brown, Jock Mooney, Alex Charrington, Jaune Quick-To-See Smith, John Morris and Mark Dion. (As well as with emerging artists and recent graduates.)
As part of the event Lee will talk about his time at Tamarind Institute, University of New Mexico, the processes of lithography printing as well as artists he has collaborated with.
