Alan creates unique and elegant Bone China vessels. Drawing is fundamental to his ceramic practice. Alan aims to draw with light through the use of translucency and perforations in Bone China. Alan uses sand-blasting techniques and pierced relief decoration onto the translucent surfaces of Bone China.
