Exhibition of the art collection of 14 international contemporary artists.
About
Fundación Bancaja exhibits the works produced by different international contemporary artists belonging to its collection. For the first time a selection of approximately fifty large format works from different disciplines is displayed together.
The international collection of contemporary art belonging to Fundación Bancaja was begun in 2004, on the advice provided by the art critic Juan Manuel Bonet, with the acquisition of the first works in the art fairs of Basel, Lisbon, or ARCO, intented to contribute with pieces and authors present in international collections.
Taking a series of emblematic artists from taht time as a starting point, a strategy to acquire works is drafted, with key names in the art history of the second half of the 20th Century, whose works are on show in this exhibition.
