Artist Abbie Phillips has been invited to discuss her professional practice and will deliver a presentation about her work and her influences. She will also be encouraging attendees to participate in a drawing workshop in a relaxed and friendly environment.

About

As part of a series of seminars, Abbie will be discussing her practice and be part of a Q&A session with AID project co-ordinator Esther La Montagne. Abbie will also be running a workshop that will encourage participants to explore the potential of drawing by decoding visual literacy and encrypting experiences. The purpose of the workshop is to be liberated from the constraints of limiting preconceptions about drawing and open up a world of possibilities. In this workshop, the emphasis will be on the journey and not the destination, if you believe you cannot draw, come along on this journey and see what you can discover...
* Those who wish to participate in the workshop will be asked to bring a few basic drawing materials. Please bring: HB pencil, 2B/4B/6B pencil, rubber, sharpener, ruler, glue stick and scissors. Paper will be provided, but bring additional paper if possible.
