Art in Disguise introduces Figurative Artist Andrea Coltman who will be doing a presentation and discussing her practice.
Coltman explores the many layers that make up personalities investigating and questioning 'what lies beneath?" through the mediums of oil painting and drawing.
About
The series’ director and fine art painter Esther Lamontagne will invite established and emerging guest artists and curators to discuss their practice, allowing attendees to gain an insight into the life of a working artist and curator. It is also a platform for up and coming artists and students to gain experience of presenting and add the experience to their portfolio.
Each seminar will be comprised of a discussion with the artist, discussing their practice and experience as contemporary practitioners, resulting in a Q & A session at the end.
The scope of the work is to eventually incorporate a sister project called The AID (Art in Disguise) Foundation. The purpose of AID is to support the art education departments in schools that are lacking an abundance of resources and help mentor young people from disadvataged backgrounds get involved in the arts.
