Fisher Parrish Gallery is pleased to present Animal Interviews, Rhode Island-based artist Zach Martin’s first solo exhibition with the gallery.
About
Martin’s practice articulates the liminal areas—the space between states of existence, art and commodity, object and user, and between familiarity and abstraction. Martin describes this new body of work as “furniture that’s falling apart into art” – perverse sculptures that have a physical presence that is uncannily familiar and inviting, while at the same time unsettling and alien.
Please join us for the opening reception of Animal Interviews on Friday, March 29, 2019, from 6 to 9pm with a performance by New York-based musician and performer Glasser at 8pm.
