Rather than just another exhortation to buy something, Ludger Gerdes’s illuminated sign uses the formal means of advertising to enhance the public space with a message that can be read in many different directions.

About

The work of the year 1989 is part of The Hot Wire, a cooperative project with the Glaskasten Marl sculpture museum. Within the context of this sculpture swap, it has now been moved temporarily from the Marl town hall to the facade of the Aegidiihof opposite the museum.
