About

AN AESTHETIC PROJECT is a cross-disciplinary exhibition running from 31 May - 15 June 2013 at House Gallery, SE5 8QZ in London. The exhibition seeks to bring together Singaporean artists and non-artists living in the UK in order to explore and create collaborative and transient encounters that occur between disciplinary and cultural spaces. 16 pairs made up of visual artists that have been partnered with practitioners from fields such as architecture, biochemistry and law, will be working towards collaboratively creating original works that convey a shared personal or academic interest. These works currently range from a virtual cartographic project to an installation involving meta-theatres that localize foreign experiences within London, amongst many others. This project is proudly supported by the Overseas Singaporean Unit, National Youth Council and Singapore International Foundation. Private View: 31 May 2013, 6.30 — 9pm Free Gallery Tours: 5 & 12 June, 6.30pm
