In a drawing practice that spans over fifteen years, Amy believes in the power of the small, the still, and the intimate to create a moment of intense focus. Her work celebrates drawing as an all consuming yet open ended process that allows for a suspension of time for both maker and viewer.

Sluice opens its new Gallery on Bohemia Place with this solo show of new work by Amy Green. Amy’s intimate works encourage extended contemplation. The intricacies of the mark making demand close inspection whilst the works interconnectedness rewards distance, these conflicting demands on the viewer produce a tension in the viewing experience reflected in the taut calm of the works themselves.
