American Late: Independence Day

Celebrate American Independence Day with a swing band, lindy-hopping and line dancing in the Great Court, jazz and talks in the exhibition The American Scene, and Native American craft activities in the galleries. The exhibition The American Scene: Prints from Hopper to Pollock is open late Thursdays and Fridays until 8.30pm and features 150 prints by artists including Edward Hopper, Josef Albers, Louise Bourgeois and Jackson Pollock, all from the British Museum's collection.
