Back again and hotfoot from his lakeside studio in Sri Lanka, Alexander Beckett has produced an exquisite body of work. The last time he showed at THE HEPSIBAH GALLERY the gallery after the Pv was a sea of red dots and the kind of sellout that is every curator's dream, this year the work has matured. it is still quiet and confident with a profusion of still life but there is now a new energy in this lovely body of work. The still lives are still,beautifully executed but have more of the excitement of a Dutch Old Master than say a Morandi - there is a new energy and an almost icon like respect of the subject. The drawings - which is also a new departure in his exhibition choice - are full of vitality and life. Please join us at the Tuesday evening PV or daily until Saturday 23rd November 2013
