Alex Lifschutz, of Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands Architects discusses architecture in the 21st Century

About

Very little work has been done to upgrade the pattern books that provided our housing and industrial buildings in the 18th and 19th centuries. But the principles developed in these, the foundation of our cities, can be brought up to date. We envisage a city that is responsive to the lifestyles and needs of its inhabitants rather than a top down structure led by singular cultural or leisure buildings which are often a problem rather than a solution to urban renaissance. Hear Alex Lifschutz, of Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands Architects discuss his issues and thoughts on architecture in the 21st century.
