Nathaniel Hepburn curator of the first public exhibition of Roland Collins' work presents an overview of the artist's life through his early drawings and his commercial work.
This talk will explore the particular importance of the Sussex coast to Collins. Hepburn will examine the evolution of Collins' artistic style through his paintings of Eastbourne, Newhaven and Seaford from the 1950s to the present day.
Roland Collins' work currently features in Towner's collection display A Point of Departure.
