About

Kenneth Anger will be screening his new work and talking about his notorious classic films at a one-off event at the Shunt Vaults in London on 30th October. Anger achieved notoriety for his visionary films including ‘Fireworks' (1947), ‘Scorpio Rising' (1964) and ‘Lucifer Rising' (1970-81). He is the best selling author of the outrageous scandal catalogue ‘Hollywood Babylon' (1959), and recently returned to filmmaking with provocative works on the world's largest collection of Mickey Mouse memorabilia and champion surfer and suicide, Bunker Spreckels. His saga of the Hitler Youth, ‘Ich Will!' had its premiere in the river town of Krems, Austria on Walpurgis Night 2008. This is a rare opportunity to see his new work as well as cult classics and participate in a Q & A session with Anger himself. There will also be music from Jonny Trunk and guest performances. Bar opens 6pm (till late). Screenings start 8pm. £5 on door for non members
