About
2011 sees BDP celebrate its 50th year as the UK's leading interdisciplinary design collective. To mark this fantastic occasion CUBE will be hosting an exhibition 61/11 Continuous collective: BDP at 50.This exhibition narrates the story of BDP from its foundation by George Grenfell Baines in Preston in 1961, through to its current status as one of the country's pre-eminent multi-disciplinary design practices. The exhibition charts the growth of the practice from its early years through to the present day, through a mixture of specially commissioned models and images of its RIBA Award winning projects, and chronicles how the spirit and ethos of the practice has evolved and developed over the decades.
The exhibition will then transfer to the Minster in Preston, where the practice was founded, from 8th - 20th November 2011.
