What does it mean to belong? What makes a place a home? What role does home play in our daily lives?

40 Months / in Exile is a collaborative exhibition by Yole Quintero & Timothy Percival whose practices explore domesticity, dislocation, & upheaval. While the title is a compound of their respective projects it also invokes a sense of expulsion from home & nomadic wondering in a biblical wilderness. The introspective condition of questioning belonging comes into direct contact with human connection & modes of communication through the mediated sharing of experienced disarticulation. Both artists have produced photobooks & ancillary works to communicate their themes. 

The exhibition will consist of visual prints that lie within the ideas of belonging and nostalgia, of encapsulating the places which in memory and loss transcend time, along with music and discussion.
