About

This exhibition is one of the clubs first joint exhibitions showing works from artists Emma Payne and Kat Trevor who studied BA Sculpture at Camberwell College of Arts together.

Payne and Trevor both explore popular culture, voyeurism and humour within their work experimenting with different mediums including textile and video.

The artists will be handing out cakes as part of their work.

DJ Gaz Maggs will be filling the room with alternative sounds.

An invitation from the artists:

“We invite you to meet our friend Eric,
Now at first this might sound quite generic,
but it's no usual meeting,
There'll be cake for the eating,
With some music and art
Videos, drinks and the lark.
He lives underground
In a basement of sound,
But he's no boring neighbour
He's an unusual flavour.
Eric’s an interesting fellow
Well built, like a cello.
He's generous and kind
With fun times on the mind
And he's desperate to meet you,
To please you and treat you!
This may not make sense,
But under no false pretence.
We invite you to join us
If it's not too much fuss,
Please don't be confused
Just come be amused,
At the musical fun hub
That is... the Notting Hill Arts Club!”

We look forward to seeing you there!
