In the double exhibition # 3003, the GALERIE ALBER shows current works by the artists Béla Pablo Janssen and Franziska Reinbothe.
About
Both positions deal in different ways with the definition of the pictorial space and with it the use of the material in painting. As a medium, the frame opens up a new dimension of the actual image space, which abolishes the traditional understanding of image and surroundings. While Reinbothe deforms her frames, takes the inside out and stages it to the actual work of art, Janssen creates another image level through the image in the image. This raises the question of the limit of the work of art that can be experienced and its effect in the juxtaposition of the two artists.
