Once again the ever-popular 20-21 Visual Arts Centre Open art exhibition returns. Coinciding with the Insight open studios event, this is our annual showcase of work by artists based in the region. Both amateur and professional artists over the age of 16 have been invited to submit works for the exhibition, and for the first time the exhibition has been opened to artists in Doncaster and the North Humber regions. As always this vibrant and colourful exhibition featuring painting, photography, textiles, sculpture and ceramics contains something to suit all tastes.
Last year's overall winner Jason Carlisle impressed the judges with his striking portrait work and has been offered the opportunity of a solo exhibition at 20-21 in April 2012. This year the winner selected by judges David Plumtree and Sarah Hammond was Grimsby based painter Dale Mackie with his painting Father Bluebird.
