Cally Trench and Jane Glennie in conversation with Loucia Manopoulou
About
Cally Trench and Jane Glennie in conversation with Loucia Manopoulou
Last year, 52 of Cally’s photographs of artists’ hands were exhibited at South Hill Park as part of an exhibition called ‘Making Connections’. The full collection of 105 photographs has now been published as a book by Peculiarity Press, with design by Jane Glennie.
The conversation will focus on how a book presents different challenges and excitements from an exhibition, the different experience of a reader from a viewer in a gallery, and the role of the designer in creating the finished product, as well as exploring the idea of photographs of hands as a form of portraiture.
Cally Trench is an artist who works mainly with drawing and photography. Jane Glennie is a graphic designer and artist, whose Peculiarity Press is an independent micro-publisher that specialises in collaborations with artists
This event is free but booking is essential as the spaces are limited.
