Inviting Expressions of Interest for Creation of New Artwork
Updated: 15 December 2022
The Shelley Memorial Project are inviting applications from artists interested in being considered in the selection process for the artwork that will form a public memorial to the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. This process will conclude with the selection of the artist who will be commissioned to produce a high quality, public artwork . This will be located in Horsham Park on a site that has been agreed with Horsham District council.
The commissioning of the artwork will be subject to the achievement of planning permission and a successful conclusion to our fundraising campaign. The achievement of a high quality design will be an important factor in our fundraising strategy. The selection process will also involve a public consultation on the shortlisted designs.
Eligibility: Artists able to address the criteria in the artist's brief
What you get: Shortlisted artists will receive a £500 payment to enable them to proceed to the next stage of the selection.
