CUVO Videoart Festival - Open Call 2021

Since its outset, CUVO has aimed to give a wide and transversal gaze about the problems of our present through contemporary art.

Now, Until SEPTEMBER 30th the itinerant videoart festival, CUVO, launches its call to make a selection of the eight most innovative audiovisual creations at an international level.

For this sixth edition we want to ponder about how the idea of paradise has changed in the times we live in. Has it definitely disappeared? Or we can still design new liquid typologies from which to configure a new idea of community?

Eligibility: No age required. We are open to any type of videocreation, regardless of its technique, genre or register.

What you get: The selected display to be part of this festival, as well as other related activities, will be exposed from January 4th to January 9th, 2022, at the Experimental Space 'Art Room' (Madrid). Afterwards the selected display will tour itinerant-wise to a variety of spaces placed at institutions related to artistic exposition and outreach, even public or private. In case the agreements with the organizations ends up with a economic compensation, the money received will be destined to cover the expenses from the diffusion, diets of the organisers and coordinators, and also to pay the CACHE among the selected artists, which always will be the 50% of the stablished CANON.
