Open Call for ‘The Wakes Weeks’ Mural Commission

Deco Publique is an art and culture company based by the sea in Morecambe and working in and around the North. We will be commissioning an artist to produce a mural exploring the heritage of The Wakes Week - a holiday period with a strong tradition of mill towns visiting Morecambe and other Lancashire towns, attracted by the healing powers of the sea.
We are seeking Expressions of Interest which:
- Explore the heritage themes whilst being visually contemporary in line with our aspiration to create vibrant public space.
- Demonstrate the artist/collectives’ experience in delivering large scale commissions and producing high-quality outcomes with cultural and artistic credibility
£4500 available budget.
