Artist in Residence
Open Call: D6 Research Residencies (North East UK)
Updated: 19 December 2018
There is Beauty in this Journey is a new artistic programme produced by D6, that seeks to redress the sensationalism and bias around migration stories, aspiring towards a shared, rich and responsive exploration of our city and beyond. We are inviting artists based in the North East of England to apply for a four-week research residency at D6. There are two residency opportunities available: We are seeking to support artists in our region with an international dimension to their practice. We will provide regional artists with the space and time to research a new project or idea without the constraints of having to necessarily produce a body of work; the emphasis for this residency is on research, not on finished artworks
