Glyndebourne Tour Art Competition 2017
Updated: 26 June 2017
Glyndebourne, a world-class opera house in Sussex, has launched its annual competition to find a striking piece of original artwork for the cover of its Tour Programme.
The competition is open to visual artists aged 16 to 29. The winning work will feature on the cover of 10,000 copies of the Glyndebourne Tour Programme and will appear in an exhibition at Glyndebourne this autumn.
The theme for this year’s competition is DECEPTION, a common thread in all three operas being staged for the 2017 Tour. The judging panel includes: Gus Christie (Executive Chairman of Glyndebourne) Lord Davies of Abersoch CBE (Chairman, Royal Academy of Arts Development Trust) and Rachel Kneebone, (White Cube Artist).
