Fresh from it's debut at the prestigious art fair, SCOPE Basel, we are thrilled to present a solo installation of new work from rising star Hector de Gregorio.

About

Hector de Gregorio creates deliciously modern portraits of his friends, with each print on canvas involving extensive research, costume making, photography, digital imaging and hand-finishing in oils, waxes, gold leaf and varnishes. De Gregorio has recently developed this incredibly labour-intensive way of working even further, by collaborating with other artists to add three dimensional elements and installations involving both eroticism and religious iconography. The Spanish born artist graduated from London's Royal College of Art in 2009, with a Master's Degree in Printmaking, and has since been awarded the Thames & Hudson ArtBook Prize for Printmaking, and the AXA Young Masters Art Prize for his inspiring contemporary portraiture. De Gregorio has shown widely, with exhibitions in London, Berlin, Milan, New York, Miami and Chicago, and his work is held in the collections of Lady Victoria Conran, Mehmet Omer Koc, Theo Fennell and the Boundary Hotel, London. Alongside we will be showing a collection of new watercolours by Josie McCoy, a new body of work in spraypaint on hand-made metal canvases from sheOne, and new work on paper by Kelly Jayne.
