About

Ida Kar was the first photographer to have a solo exhibition in a major London Gallery. In the 1950s she stood at the heart of the creative avant-garde and this exhibition includes portraits of artists such as Henry Moore and Bridget Riley and literary subjects including Iris Murdoch and Jean-Paul Sartre. It offers a fascinating insight into cultural life in post-war Britain and an opportunity to see iconic works, not exhibited for over 40 years.
