Matters of Translation

In conjunction with the exhibition Art Meets Language this illustrated talk scrutinises translation processes inherent in the field of visual arts. Franz Thalmair, independent arts writer and curator, will examine the relationship between content, medium and form. As managing curator at the Vienna Secession, Thalmair is interested in the process of interpretation of language-based artworks, not only from an artistic and curatorial perspective but, also from the viewer's point of view.
