Philip Vann will discuss Dorothy Mead's work and give a personal tour of and response to Mead's first solo exhibition in a public gallery: ‘Recognising Dorothy Mead: David Bomberg, the Slade and After', at Borough Road Gallery. The tour will be followed by late opening of the exhibition, until 8.30pm. Vann is a writer and art critic whose many publications include ‘Dora Holzhandler', 'Cyril Power: The Complete Linocuts', 'Keith Vaughan', and ‘Face to Face: British Self-Portraits in the 20th Century'. He has written on Dorothy Mead's work in both Face to Face and in the exhibition catalogue ‘Dorothy Mead', for Mead's Boundary Gallery exhibition, in 2005.
