Robert Clark: Amstatten An allegory of fear and confinement. Amsatten draws on stories of hostage situations taken from news reports of the past 30 years presenting the audience a piece that is both beautiful and disturbing. Amsatten contrasts the performer's inner landscape with the imposition of a restricted physical space accompanied by a stark and geometric lighting design by Guy Hoare. Robert Clark is a Work Place artist. In 2003, he was awarded the Simone Michelle Choreography Prize from Laban and a Dance UK Choreographic Observation to work with Siobhan Davis in 2004. Robert has been Associate Artist with Dance4 since 2004. We are bound by fate and inevitability from the moment we are born but if we are lucky, the end is not the end. James Wilton began his choreographic career whilst studyingat LCDS. He was then commisioned to develop work for Scottish Dance Theatre. In 2010 James created his first professional work The Shortest Day which won Sadler's Wells' Global Dance Contest and the Audience Award for Best Choreography at the 16 Masdanza Choreography Competition in the Canary Islands.
