About

Group exhibition featuring the diverse works of 16 international artists who explore the concept of 'Seven Mortal Sins' in different cultures and beliefs; ranging from the ancient world to contemporary society, using different mediums and creative methodologies. Through differing personal perspectives and backgrounds, the exhibition offers the public a chance to explore the notion of ‘Seven Mortal Sins' through a range of associated subjects and sub-topics. As well as looking at the traditional definition of the topic, each artist has explored its meaning in the 21st century and interpreted this into their own work. An intriguing, curious and thought-provoking display of feelings, thoughts, fears, fantasies and hopes, this exhibition runs at the Mile End Art Pavilion, with its large windows adjacent a pond situated in a small park by one of London's canals provides the ideal location to inspire audiences to meditate on the concept of mortal sins. None of the artwork on display aims to provoke, upset or disrespect its surroundings in any way and only intends to inspire profound feeling and thought in viewers. All the artists invites you to explore the sinners world at the Mile End Art Pavilion
