About
Forma presents a one-off performance and artists' talk by the performance art group Lone Twin, who collaborated with Alnwick's award'winning town crier during Summer 07 to create a unique series of proclamations that tell stories of places, events and communities back to the people of the region.
Artists' Talk, BALTIC, Level 1, 3 - 4.30pm
Artists Gregg Whelan and Gary Winters will tell the story of the making of the project, showing footage of performances. The talk will be followed by a book launch with signings by the artists and the Town Cryer. Audiences receive a free copy of the book, Town Crying - published by Forma, which documents these unique events.
Performance, NewcastleGateshead Quayside, 11am- 3pm:
A special Town Crying performance preceding the talk takes place in and around the Dott07 festival site, where Alnwick's award- winning Crier will present all of the seven scripts performed in locations across the North East during July 2007.
