North House Gallery Summer Show

About

Featuring a selection of work by artists shown at the gallery in the past year Gertrude Hermes, Jason Hicklin, Hylton Stockwell, Kate Boxer, Billy Lloyd, Jonathan Clarke, Jane Lewis, Charlotte Stewart, John Cobb and Susan Light This exhibition is the director's eclectic selection of work shown in the last year topped up with brand new pieces where possible. There are rare prints by Gertrude Hermes RA (1901-1983) and the delightful frog door knocker; monotypes and new etchings by Jason Hicklin; bronze dogs and new figures by Hylton Stockwell; our favourite drypoint and carborundum prints by Kate Boxer; elegant ceramics by Billy Lloyd; cast aluminium sculpture by Jonathan Clarke; fresh paintings by Jane Lewis and Charlotte Stewart; enigmatic wood sculpture by John Cobb and reinterpretations of old master paintings by Susan Light. Work can be taken away on purchase so that the show will be continually refreshed throughout the summer. North House Gallery is situated on the estuary of the River Stour in Manningtree, the smallest town in England, only an hour by rail from London, a perfect place to visit over the summer, rich too in wildlife, walks and local restaurants and hostelries.
